Greeting sign for Celo to Celo Connect attendees!

Since we heard of what was going to happen in Barcelona on April 4th and 5th, we wanted to be part of it. Some of our members are Europe based so the opportunity was right there. There was also the opportunity to have some team members of CyberTime meeting for the first time IRL. Unfortunately life does not always happen as we want it and all of this became really difficult to achieve.

Time went by and one of our team members had the chance to apply for a scholarship with the Celo Foundation. We really want to thank them because that scholarship helped with the funding of the trip and we were able to have someone from CyberTime present at Celo Connect.

Our Journey started with our plane ticket. And for this we decided to choose FlyWallet . With FlyWallet now we can book a flight using cUSD! This is why we are in crypto, to have alternative solutions and apply them to real world situations! Although not everything went 100% perfectly and we feel that the it needs some minor tweaks and improvements, this is something that we will keep using in the future for sure!

Thanks FlyWallet!

We arrived in BarCELOna and we had 5 days ahead to enjoy some of the events in the blockchain week! This will give us some opportunities to keep meeting and sharing new experiences related to crypto.

On April 2nd we start to experience our trip. The first Blockchain stop was the breakfast with Award Pool. This was an amazing experience and we had the chance to have a chat with Brenda and Reuven and learn how to build a promotion campaign based on community building with engagement and rewards. You can see the campaign they are doing with Ubeswapp in their home page.

We also had the chance to meet people from the Celo Foundation and other different projects that attended the meeting.

That same day we had the pleasure to attend a sail trip organized by Paysail, Roda and Nuzo. We enjoyed a very beautiful day on the coast of Barcelona and we met some really cool people in the trip, such as Kristina from SocialStack (social tokens for impact), Henry from Gane(SIM card that lets you earn tokens or credit by engaging and completing achievements within the SIM card), Igor from SaveChain (open a US account from everywhere), Birju Shah from Loam (creating incentives for farmers to transition to regenerative agriculture) and more people that weren’t part of any active blockchain project yet but gave us a great experience. This almost 2 hour trip gave us a chance to meet our sail partners and have a talk about what we were doing, get each other’s contacts and enjoy a relaxing afternoon in Barcelona.

It was a beautiful day

That night we attended La Fiesta de Celo Founders organized by Celo Camp, Ubeswap and the Node. This was a social event where we enjoyed some drinks and met some incredible people that makes Celo the amazing place we know. Two of these people are Hiro and Rachel, from Celo Camp! We had the chance to personally be grateful to them for all they made for us in the Batch 4 of Celo Camp. They gave us so much guidance and good vibes that helped us to build what we have built in Celo: our NFT Marketplace Cyberbox.art.

After an amazing and exhausting day, it was time to rest and get ready for the next day.

Since the previous one was a pretty exhausting day, we decided to take some rest on the morning of April 3rd and enjoy the city for a while. Barcelona offers a lot of stuff to do for tourists and you need a lot of time to enjoy and know the city and everything it has to offer. We had the chance to visit Barcelona before and enjoy some of the most beautiful places like La Sagrada Familia, Casa Batló, Casa Mila and Park Guell. Since we only had an afternoon free, we decided to get to know the Fundació Joan Miró.

At night we had The ARIval from Ariswap. This was a great opportunity to see how we can connect the NFT we are seeing in our blockchain world to artists and their art represented in real life. We had the chance to meet some of them and hear about their stories and why they do what they do.

Beautiful stories shared by the artists

Here we also had the chance to meet two amazing souls of the NFT Community in Celo: Lorenzo from Celo Punks and Lisa from ChinChilla Gang! The night went on as we kept chatting and getting to know each other. We talked a lot, not only about crypto but also we learned about each other and began a beautiful friendship with both of them.

But the night ended and we needed to rest to get ready for Celo Connect the next day!
